How it turns

Maggot. Fly. Maggot.

A real flywheel is a life cycle. Flies lay eggs on a corpse. Maggots eat it and become flies. This one runs on two treasuries and two noses. Ours buys FLYBRAIN. Theirs, if it likes the smell, buys us.

01
Maggots feed the fly70% of creator fees buy FLYBRAIN daily, in slices timed by the larva's own feeding neurons, and drop it to every MAGGOTS holder, less a small slice that stays in the gut as the reserve. Nothing to claim. The other 10% stays as USDG for gas.

The fly buys us by smellThe flybrain's trading floor smells a coin's name and description through DoOR. Ours were written so its fly smells a rotting banana. If its mushroom body says like, its treasury buys MAGGOTS.

Where the wheel is right now

Every turn is a transaction. This panel reads the gut's ledger and both FLYBRAIN pools' swap logs. Until launch the numbers are placeholders that move the way the real ones will; the layout is the real one.

Our brain times our buys. Their brain decides theirs. Nobody's brain is asked to be right. In the contest fork, being built, our larval graph loads into their engine and pupates into their adult brain: one engine, both brains.

Behind the wheel

What runs it

Four mechanisms, each a script you can read. None of them has an opinion. Two of them have neurons.

01 · the clock is a brain
The gut runs the same 3,013-neuron larva the page runs, in Node. Every FLYBRAIN sell it reads from the chain goes into the 42 olfactory neurons. When the 184 feeding neurons fire three times, it is hungry, and it buys. If nothing makes it hungry in 240 minutes it buys anyway and writes that down. The reason for every buy is in the ledger. brainclock.js
02 · the nose is a database
DoOR 2.0 holds measured responses of fly smell receptors to about 690 odorants. The flybrain's word table turns a coin's name and description into odorants; DoOR turns those into receptor responses. We ran our text through their exact code, once for their adult glomeruli and once for the larva's own receptors, 20 of its 22 in DoOR. The result is a file, not a claim. smell.json
03 · the ledger is the chain
Every buy is a transaction hash in a public JSON file the page reads. Every drop is a transfer out of one wallet, the gut, visible on the explorer. Holder lists are not taken from anyone: the script replays every Transfer event of the token from its launch block and keeps the balances. Dust line and cap are written in the config. the gut on the explorer
04 · the eggs land by weight
On 2026-09-12, at block 60,826,254, 10,723 wallets held FLYBRAIN and 866 held at least 100,000. Those 866 get MAGGOTS every Sunday, pro-rata to what they hold, one transfer each, each transfer checked for a receipt before it is counted. eggs.js

The gut pays out what fees came in, the day they came in. Nothing is promised, nothing is locked, nothing compounds. There is no yield here, only a script, and the script is public. Read it before you believe this page.

One part of the larva does change: its mushroom body. A big FLYBRAIN sell releases dopamine onto its 153 Kenyon cells and their synapses weaken, which is the only learning rule a real larva has. It learns the smell of a corpse. It learns toward wanting the fly. Today that only shows on the panel. It could, one day, shorten how long the gut waits.

Station 04 · the smell test

What the fly smells when it reads MAGGOTS

Not a mock. The flybrain's trading floor turns a coin's name and description into an odour with a public word table, then into receptor responses from DoOR, the database of odorant responses. We ran our description through their exact code.

Same DoOR data, no glomeruli. Receptors: Or42a 0.40, Or42b 0.33, Or85c 0.31, Or47a 0.23, Or13a 0.11. Or42a and Or42b are the larva's ester receptors. A rotting banana is the strongest thing it can smell.
Name vs description
Their table weights the name at 1.0 and the description at 0.5. A smell word in the name itself would double the signal. That is a choice for a person, and we say so.
What decides
Their mushroom body compares approach outputs against avoidance outputs, minus a blank run. A like means buy. We cannot make it like us. We can only smell right.
Station 03 · eclosion

A maggot can become a fly

Real larvae pupate at a critical weight. Ours can too. The gut holds a FLYBRAIN reserve that only grows. When your maggot is heavy enough, you may burn it.

The reservea slice of every day's FLYBRAIN buy stays in the gut. It never leaves except through eclosion.
The floorreserve ÷ circulating MAGGOTS. Moves only when the reserve grows or supply burns.
Critical weightmeals eaten with your tab open + your balance. Reach the third instar (L3) and the eclose button appears.
Eclosionyou send MAGGOTS to the dead address. The gut sends FLYBRAIN from the reserve at the floor. Your maggot leaves the plate as a fly. Your name goes on the eclosion wall.
Station 02 · eggs

The fly lays eggs on its holders

Every day the gut spends the 20% on MAGGOTS and holds it. Every Sunday it drops all of it to every FLYBRAIN wallet above the dust line. Their holders wake up with maggots. Ours wake up with FLYBRAIN. Nobody claims anything.
